Learn the languages in question, interpret the meaning of a word in one language and find a similar word in the other language.
You should have elaborate your points, like asking tips and tricks to make improvements to your translation quality.

Well it first depends on what language you want to translate. I would suggest practicing first. It's hard to get a feel for the flow of a language when on paper as opposed to when it's spoken. I grew up speaking and hearing Korean, but didn't learn how to read and write it in a formal environment. The alphabet is pretty easy so that was a relief. When I first started, it was really difficult for me to properly understand the context and the flow of the various sentences that I tried to translate. What really helped me dissect the process was by using the program OmegaT. It's a translation assist tool that breaks down the text into manageable and bite-size chunks, usually by periods. The only issue is that OmegaT requires you to provide the raw text file yourself, otherwise it doesn't work. You can go ahead and try translating a novel that someone else has done but solely for practice. I just need to make it clear that you probably don't wanna go around releasing chapters of a novel that someone else has already been translating. It's just nice to be able to compare your work with someone else's so that you get the hang of the lexicon, flow, and things like idioms. I don't really have any other advice other than to just practice. You're speed will increase with time, and your proficiency of the language will as well.
Just this simple & easy 3-steps Spoiler 1. Don't try to find any excuse to laziness. 2. Practice until fluent in the original language and English. 3. Start translate. In case of doubt, go to #1. That's all.
