I mean even reading what RI has been translated at this point, it's pretty obvious that Wang Lin is the God. And ISSTH spoils it pretty easily. Spoiler: RI Spoilers Describes the God killing everything for the sake of bringing his wife back. One of the Allheaven's transformations is of the God, and it is a 10 star God. These make it pretty obvious if you read ISSTH entirely and have read RI up to its current point.

would you rather have the story stretch out and end after 4000+ chapters or give it closure and end it while its still amazing
Ending it by saying that the world Meng Hao lives is the weakest (cornerstone) and that the main universe (the real playground) is far away isn't exactly the closure.
Allot of Xianxia novels are bad because they transcend to new heights multiple times. I'm very happy that ISSTH isn't following Meng Hao out into the Universe. It ended right before with a couple side stories. 1 emotional 1 giving clearance 1 hinting at even more in the universe. That was enough. I'd hate to see ISSTH like MGA or PMG where it just never ends and repeats arcs.
Not every novel has to end with the MC being the most powerful being in all of creation and existence. It was a story about the mountain and sea realm in the Starry Sky of AllHeaven. Not the story of Meng Hao become the most powerful being who ever did exist.
It wouldn't be a story about him becoming the most powerful being, BUT the damn wealthiest being to have existed, especially once his mum gets her memories back and realizes how much wealth MH wasted.
all of er gen's novels happend in that small galaxy/universe,it's just that ISSTH went into detail about it,the reason he did this is because he's still planning to make other novels and slowly introduce the bigger universe
