Its funny that Hachiman always comment about Bell's protagonist ability about raising flag but ignore his own status as the protagonist of this fanfic and continue to ignore all flags (and fail... his flag is set to auto-raise)

 

I remember reading it a year-something ago. Is this a reposting or a rewrite? I'd hate to start reading again just to be left at the exact same point of last year xD

 

I only have one problem with the title, Hikigaya Hachiman is not supposed to be OP. And he is definitely not supposed to be the protagonist. He is someone who is at the very bottom and helps those who are falling so that nobody takes his place at the bottom. He is like an anti-hero, a teenage batman without money or fancy gadgets (doesn't need a mask bcoz nobody knows him). An OP hikigaya is no longer as charming. (Just my personal opinion)

As always - I usually don't read fics or crossover as it usually tends to grow out of character and the thing that's completely bends is - what it should be? How it was & how it is now?. And I found this fic . so I tried this, since writing a fic abt Oregairu is no small joke. And as I read it, once again, I found out that I was right, fics will always be fics. Till the first chapter , it was all amusing but after that it took me no longer then ten secs to find flaws. Hikigaya & work? Seriously, what makes you think that the guy who did not even work even if it cost the world to see him as an outsider , bad guy etc will work in this world. This thing escalated even after , when he is actually an adventurer . Tbh, even there is a references in the anime, that he apparently liked mages as a child. So what makes you think that he will choose to be a adventurer with.....muscles??...Now let's all admit it, we find hikigaya cool because he was unorothodox . He is not , what other protagonist is. Not good looking, no muscles, no lady's man etc etc. That's why he is interesting. Here till ch2 as I have read. He has got muscles, he has money, he has op power (still not so op) , he can smile & mostly he can accept what other told him to do (means not merciless) & he reacts (really?) Hikigaya & reaction & blushes (this is an insult to harem genre). Now honourable mentions, yep the main strength lies in character but also...in philosophy. No philosophy , no hikigaya. While here it is, only totsuka & other character references from original series or the hundred rules that he has. Now this is just a rant , no offense only my personal thingie or review.
