Impossible is only reserve for second rate angel and Wuxia boss who was beat up by Yue Yang and Smooth ache. Don't underestimate the power of protagonist, a party and 200+ stat point or a shovel weilding be romanced with a time to prepare.

Yes. If he gets the same boost to the most-used skills whether he clears the Beyond floor in 2 days or 2 months, then his best bet may be to clear the Beyond floors ASAP. But if clearing a Beyond floor doubles the skill experience that he gained while clearing that floor, then racing through Beyond floors comes at a cost of doubled the experience that he could have gained if he stayed to grind the floor for a month instead of clearing it in 2 days. Do we know which way Beyond calculates the bonus experience for the most-used skills?

Didn't he just upgrade all elemental related proficiencies when in tye ice dungeon, right before obtaining the wind one.

Thanks, I kinda rushed reading that chapter so I missed him saying he spent skill points on them and assumed it was plot convenient timing for them leveling up like when he got the necessary level for the ice elemental.

 

Ch169 sneak peak. Since the rewards for soloing the ogre seemed scanty, I took notes on the rewards for soloing a boss. Floor 55 is like floor 45 in that it lacks the optional reward that Shin got on floors 20, 40, and 50. This is perhaps expected, since floors 20 and 50 are metal advancements (silver, gold), and floor 40 was particularly tough.

The first time Shin solos a particular boss, he always gets the following in this order:

• "Slayer" title
• +1 to all stats
• 'special reward' = piece of the boss armor
• the usual money for that boss
• 'reward' = book that gives a magic skill or a tattoo
  • Floor 5 = deific manifestation (ch10)
  • Floor 10 = spirit mastery (ch18) [Ye-Eun got something else]
  • Floor 15 = return (ch30)
  • Floor 20 = divine speed (ch33)
  • Floor 25 = death counter (ch63)
  • Floor 30 = riding (ch67)
  • Floor 35 = heavy armor mastery (ch81)
  • Floor 40 = soul guard (ch93)
  • Floor 45 = giant wolf's tattoo (ch106)
  • Floor 50 = dimensional travel (ch111)
  • Floor 55 = TBD (ch169)

Spoiler: Rewards for being the first to solo a floor master on the first try (not a spoiler)

If Shin is the first one to solo that particular boss on the first try, he gets the following in addition to the usual boss-solo rewards:

• 2 skill points
• Sometimes an additional reward
  • Floor 20 = special mansion
  • Floor 40 = special resort
  • Floor 45 = "Gods that love battles and wars begin to become interested in you" (nothing)
  • Floor 50 = a god's true name
  • Floor 55 = nothing
• "Master" title (instead of 'slayer')
• Additional +1 to all stats
• "The only reward left hidden by the first explorer" = +1 to luck

Soloing a boss on the first try gives these rewards only if no one has ever done it before. If someone has already soloed it on the first try, then it doesn't matter if Shin parties with others on his first attempt (e.g., floor 25) or if he successfully solos it on his first attempt (e.g., floors 30 and 35).

 

I hope this change in Ren's back story will be expanded upon. Like why the hell did the administrators of the first dungeon not support Ren? He didn't grind elixirs, but he beat every boss alone at some point, so why didn't crybaby shop girl take notice or anyone else? Perhaps Ren isn't the only one in the last 1500 years since they changed its format, but they just didn't get anyone hot and bothered enough to take notice. Its their job to support the explorers. This change shows that there was a great amount of incompetence on their part and I hope the author will address this and not leave it as a new plot hole.

 

Perhaps they don't feel it necessary to support what is already an essentially dead world since maybe the dungeon's purpose is to prepare against invaders? Also Ren wasn't quite as op as Shin until he met Shin. We also aren't certain that he doesn't have someone taking care of him as we don't have any real news from his side.

 

I'm not really sure how much of that is actually her job. She goes out of her way to tell him stuff because she likes him. She probably doesn't actually have an obligation to bring these things up herself. It's for Ren to ask.

 

I hope Ren can reclaim the Hero's power from the demon lord.

 

I don't know why he didn't invite Ren to his guild. He should stop dragging his feet with these things. It would help improve their guild ranking, probably help Ren go to Earth to grind dungeons, and secure another elite ally.

 

He's probably still traumatized from finding out that Ren is a Catboy, his dream was shattered that day.

I like Ren and what he represents. He's the type of person the first dungeon is meant to cultivate and he will probably enter Beyond soon. Ren said he overpowered the orge boss, something Shin even admitted he couldn't do without injury with spear technique alone, so we can imagine how powerful he had grown, even though the top brass of the dungeon are neglecting him.
