I finally started reading it a few days ago, and just got to this arc.
The story was fairly good up until this point, but it just sucks now.

Can anyone tell me when this arc is over and if I can skip it? Does the story even get better after this? I'm on the verge of dropping it because I can't even force myself to read through the bullshit.

Hmm better stop right there. It's still slow paced even after ienith arc.. But according to the author, he need the arc and the next arc for world building and plot building.

they are going to be returning to the dragon dungeon capturing eventually. if you can't read it, you shouldn't read it. it doesn't need your viewership.

That arc is a real drag but serves to make the MC a little more mature and worldly wise, thus making it somewhat important. I would suggest speeding through, since there is less fighting and more politics in that arc.

World building isn't an excuse for a boring plot

It's got the same problem as some of the arcs earlier have which is just the solution was randomly thrust upon you with almost no foreshadowing of what is really happening unless you can think of stuff not even hinted at in the story.

It's a drag and was pretty painful to read through but it does serve to introduce a new main character (follower?) and how his views are changing. If you look at it through lots of world building and character development instead of the fun comedy times earlier it can be appreciated I guess.
