Name: Irresponsible Captain Tylor (With Raws for first volume) Raw Link: http://pastebin.com/cU26WFRR Why It Should Get Picked Up: This is a long series consistently about a underdog who survives a space opera war between humanity and a human-like alien race (space elves). For those who wish to get a taste there is a anime of about 25 episodes, however it is barely the tip of the iceberg for the storyplot as there around 20 novels in the series. Description (if you can find one): It is a story about a slacker who becomes a captain of a old and derelict battle ship. One of the major mysteries throughout the series is whether if the main character is a genius or just incredibly lucky. Captain Tylor survives flawlessly through political assassinations, being outnumbered by vast enemy fleets, and such through miraculous maneuvers. Another major component of the series is the cast of characters on the battleship, each person having a wacky personality that doomed them to the most undesirable post in the fleet. my kind of captain!!!!!! hahahahahahaha is it really luck that makes him win battles!? hahahahaha the question of the lifetime!!!! w
watched the anime too good the Soyokaze always brings victory to humankind although not intentionally hahaha
this has been my favorite anime series for ages... I tried mtling the first chapter by myself, but science fiction does not translate nearly as well as fantasy does....
I enjoyed the anime greatly in times past. Nowever, the length of the novel(s) cause me worry that there are many filler arcs. If that is so, then there will be a great many cries of discontent along the way and the series might end up ownerless.
just because you think there is a possibility that there could be filler (with zero evidence) you think it should not be translated? Sure a lot of guesswork involved with that statement.
Seeing how nowhere in my post is written "Do not translate!" or an equivalent, you're making a lot of guesswork with your statement. My statement in that post is that a long work such as this one will shoulder a great deal of trouble along the way and as such, any translator interested in taking it should be prepared for the difficulties accompanying it.
Well the statement that a would be translator will eventually drop the project can be easily taken as the effort is pointless due to it being inevitably dropped.
The statement could also be considered as a friendly warning to translators weak of heart to avoid getting involved with a lengthy project only to quit later on due to peer pressure, leaving both themselves and readers alike disappointed and downtrodden.
Definitely one of the best animes ive watched. The type of anime that often pops up in top 100 animes off all time lists, classic.
The anime was awesome, and the ova's too. It would be great if someone translate it. PD: By the way, anyone know a novel similar to this or the anime?
The anime is one of the earliest dvd-set I have bought, sadly, that was before I knew they were Taiwanese bootlegs. It's hilarious.
