I'm not a big fan of cheesecake so I'd say chocolate cake. The only cheesecake I liked was an Uncle Tetsu cheesecake but that's because the "cheese" part of the cheesecake was much more subtle and the thing was fluffy and soft as hell.
What's wrong with making chocolate cheesecake? It's not harder than making either separately. Difficulty is about the same. I succeeded on my first try too. The only thing you need to worry about is the cheese and chocolate not sticking together in some recipes, but if you've baked cakes before, this shouldn't be a big deal. This one is easy, not my favourite, but it's easy. I like making chocolate cheesecakes in four layers, I don't know what it's called. Similar to this one. http://www.taste.com.au/recipes/triple-chocolate-cheesecake-2/0745db87-bfba-4094-9764-0c7a948ee527 My chocolate cake that I baked for Valentine's Day this year. It has cheese in two layers in the middle. It had crumbs all over because I messed up the ratio.
Or you know, you could do your best Bruce Lee impersonation and scare the crap out of your bro thus effectively shutting down his argument and have the decision sway to your liking. Having nunchaku will help greatly with visual intimidation. No worries about not knowing how to use it, simply having it is a great deterrence. xD
Cheesecake is too rich for me, and chocolate cake is usually too sweet for me.. My sweet tooth is basically dead
I have a sweet tooth so chocolate cake for me! XD Though I don't mind cheese cake. I love all kinds of tasty and not weird desserts~
