Question Is the 'Daoist Gu' MC the 'Leylin of Xianxia World'?

I want to read 'Daoist Gu', so I'm hoping for some information, but if it's like 'Warlock of the Magus world'(As in as a 'Villain MC') then maybe I won't be so enthusiastic.

I don´t know why the people doesn´t like villian MCS... they are much more interesting that "hero" MCS... Yeah, there are ones that are in the middle (they kill but just to deffend themselves or their loved ones) and I like them too but "hero" MCS are just too lame

The MC of daoist gu is quite interesting, he suffer humiliation from people, but if the person who bother his live hinder his path, to power or achieve something, he will simple eliminate than.

 

It's not like that for me, I just need a compelling reason to root for the MC whether he is a saint or a sinner. I love reading 'Tower of Karma', MC is the very definition of 'Evil'. Whereas 'Warlock of the Magus World' is boring sometimes.

 

Leylin is more of a chaotic neutral kind, cool villain, elegant bandit, smart opportunist, always staying neutral when there is little or no benefits, help a friend as long as his benefits and goals are not compromised,
leylin is evil, but not extreme cus too much evil things will ruin is rep, thus less people will want work with him which will in turn reduced benefits he could get

OT: I like him, i'm about 170ish chapters into the raws and he's evil through and through. The story is a bit slow though.

Honestly, I don't think you'll like him. He seems purely selfish and only really do things that will ultimately benefit him. He doesn't care much about family. He basically uses his village/sect until the end and then leaves.

 

His not just an ordinary researcher in his previous life, 500 really, I must have forgot when it's mentioned
