Hi, I'm terrible at being renegate Sherpard and with ruthless characters in general. I know that Rook becomes quite likable but does Riku always stays a sadistic character? Is she at least kind to demons? Thanks, I'm really hesitating to read this novel.
Well, from what I can remember, she never takes a liking to humans ever again. I wouldn't say she's kind to demons Spoiler only one demon in particular. The captain guy who saves her and brings her into the army. Rook doesn't become likeable? At least to me anyway. He becomes less confident when he realises the game is going off script (thanks to his sister) and because of this he goes a little bit cray cray (and not in a good way that advances the plot or anything. More like in a way where he becomes a whiny little sh*t who still wants to be the hero and fix everything). In my opinion, the beginning of the book was waaaay better than the end. It was a very confusing and disappointing ending. So I'd say read for the beginning, but don't expect a good ending.
