So he will hole up (probably) in some mountain that they will conquer using yontawa and her forces while leaving the scrounging of supplies to the bandit kin- I mean kanki. Shin and friends are probably gonna bear the brunt of things as usual while the adults handle the important stuff.

I feel like they will pillage for food and make the civilians wander around the territory. Since the Yan side has lost Qin needs something to divert attention I guess.
Think I got his plan, he plans on doing the same thing to multiple cities. Not everyone will head to Gyou but eventually some of the citizens he conquers will and the amount of people will eventually force them to open their doors and feed the people or face the wrath of the common people when they starve both outside and inside the city as they would see their fellow countrymen starve outside if they don't open their doors. The Qin army may sneak in with the citizens or just invade Gyou at that moment with a small unit (Hi Shin unit of course) to open the doors for the main army.
Or they may just starve the city itself. Don't forget that the supplies to the city cannot hold multiple Exodus of citizens from the surrounding cities. So maybe that's the plan? Starve them out while pillaging for food?
I'm still waiting for shin to command a 300k soldier (or 1 million?) to chu, then lose horribly... I think we will see it at 800+ chapter or more :/

That is also viable but I don't think they have the time, as stated be Ten the food they are pillaging is only a drop of a bucket for their army so they would also be starving.
It will be interesting to see the zhou army going somewhere and comes across a bunch of civilians haha
Yes but the enemy would also starve, they can just stall until other nations draw more of their focus since the news has already spread that they (qin) invaded. They will not think that the armies would just loiter around raiding small cities for food (probably).
