Honestly, at the rate the story's been going, I expected it to be another hundred chapters at least before he had an opportunity to get that box from the secret room. I'm even more surprised that he actually used it to get the book from the box and that nothing happened to stop him from taking it. Though I do expect his fears of messing up to keep him from studying it for a while, or to slow his progress if nothing else.
Luo should just be happy that Xiaohu is a nice, naive guy who doesn't hate him and leave it at that. Honestly, I expected him to do something that would give Xiaohu a reason to hate him. I hope he starts practicing that inner energy technique before chapter 200.
I can understand why the MC wasn't expecting this, but the squad leader should have known it would happen. He's not nearly as naive as the MC and it was a very predictable development. I wonder if he'll be able to remember this new technique after he tries to practice it I feel like this competition is another red herring. I wonder what will happen that will prevent him from performing to his full potential.
I can see where your coming from for the competition but at the same time I can see where this may be the point in the story where people get to see that he is better than they thought he was
There have been tons and tons of those moments and the author has always subverted them. I feel like we're Charlie Brown, the author is Lucy and everyone finally appreciating the MC's awesomeness is the football. At this point, I'll be utterly shocked when people finally do acknowledge that he has any talent whatsoever for cultivation.
@jacobpaige Brace yourself, the story would be alternating like that more often and surprisingly I had moments of anger and frustration reaching to the point where I thought it would break out but you know it took a sharp nosedive right at the next moment. I finished the volume 2 which is like a fucking mystery. You never know what would happen nor can you guess. Don't look at the pile of chapters it will keep you entertained throughout the second volume and fuck the last chapter is indeed a masterpiece. I still had yet to figure out the Xianxia elements, may be in the third volume. Removing the draggy, slow-paced, and more detailed plot, this novel is truly a worthy novel to read. Now if you excuse, I have to read AST for educational purposes.
Yes but there won't be any further translations...The translators left after those 2 chapters. Read the notes on chapter 158 (which I quoted)
I agree, the hype for this story is intense from the reviews I've seen, we kinda need to share it and grow it some fans for it get picked I guess.
