I agree, compared to other novels where the MC is always the underdog that can fight higher realms or constantly power up before or during the fight. Li Qiye is truly more powerful than everyone around him. His methods are far greater than any reincarnated supreme god or a reincarnated supreme cheat. Slaying Virtuous Paragons as a junior, is like saying a revolving core expert slaying divine sea masters (MW), or like saying a Celstial Immortal Slaying Daofathers (DE), or like Saint killing a Overgod (CD). Like impossible for the MC's of their respective novels, but not for Li Qiye. Why? Because he's Li Qiye.
Maybe we can make a "bland main character" category? Though to be honest he'd have much company. Maybe "1 dimensional super old guy who is a complete a**hole to people" a little long sure but certainly wouldn't fit many a mc. Seriously he's primarily a bully with a weird complex about his own superiority. He's a young master who made it to old age but never cultivated before returning to a kid's body, now he is doing young master things but backed by knowledge. It he wasn't the mc he'd have died in the first fight.

They all deserved it. Though like I said in the latest arc, he seem to go all out of his way to deliberate provoke them: demanding while offering nothing.
Yeah, maybe it's just me. But... (spoiler) Spoiler: latest arc spoiler Previously it's like "I'm just doing my thing here. But since you're irritating me, don't blame me if you ended up dying by my hands". In this latest arc, he's acting like the arrogant young master baddies himself: "I'm the new emperor, send me your daughters. Yeah, I will keep doing questionable things and provoke you to rebel". Of course we're still partway through that particular arc and maybe there's an underlying reason to why he did what he did, but the part where he goes around molesting random women in the public streets irked me.
Even every Sect Guardian, Immortal Emperor, True God and other high level beings are afraid of him as he is a legendary being.
Yeah the novel is repetitive at times, the MC is cool, his past as Dark Crow was cool, a real immortal who dies and gets revived over and over again which means he can do whatever he wants. The most interesting thing to me is that he has so many methods to kill his enemies and he uses them, like the death scripture (which is the coolest) because he can "revive" any creature he wants, and he does it many times without any restriction.
