    Knew it. Called it. When everyone was happily hopping on the Qidian train and backing them for their "good work", I was afraid something like this would happen. Didn't everyone involved in that Gravity drama swear up and down that it was them who approached WW and not the other way around? It's like the only news us readers actually got about that drama lol.

    Look at that threat and then people grab at the same time. I don't know any details of the authorizations, but it seems damn funny that they actually had a contract in place and then this sudden bit about sharing the work. Shady, shady business. Shady tactics. Good bye to all the Qidian novels I was reading. I hope the Qidian translators read this thread and apply to WW. In the English world, we actually protest against companies we don't like.

    so let me get this straight, Qidian said to WW that they gave permission to translate, but hide the intention to take away those 20 title later on at their own covinience? did Qidian mention this clearly to Ren?

    In the real world, the companies have rights over their property. So the Qidian novels won't be able to go to WW. Not without lawsuits or legal action following.
