Linux ubuntu

I have installed ubuntu 16.04 but there's no sound. does anyone here knows how to fix this?

 

I know it's a stupid answer but did you check if your speakers or headphones were connected correctly and if you have drivers for them if you need them. That happened to me last time I reinstalled my OS. Good luck

Ubuntu is broken that's why, get a real Linux distribution.

 

I have already done done that still no audio this is my first time trying linux since windows is now are using force updates

 

Do you update your ubuntu package? Most of time it's solve the problem. If it's not try ask on Ubuntu forum. Oh by the way try

I have use it and have no problem since.. never reinstalling.

 

I've done everything I can. ok i'll try using this but I've heard its experimental?

I had trouble accessing my Ubuntu partition(bios bootloader) all day.
Finally managed to get a start on my assignment.
Glad to know , there are fellow Ubuntu stragglers here.

 

I seem to be having trouble installing manjaro. What type are you using?
