Helloo my cute nephew and niece how are you doin. In this thread, we will discuss about how good is Isekai (aka transported to another world) in live action. Include wich story did you believe will be good on big screen.. There's some Isekai story that's made their way to big screen.. I'll give you the trailer First Movie Sequel Second Movie with slightly op MC Third Movie ones of my favourite. I think he has some japanese MC attitude, minus OPness What about Tensei?? I think This movie could categorize as Tensei Story(minus truck chan, And harem) well for some of you this is not Tensei. But for me this is technically MC. 1. Is MC op? yes it is 2. Is it harem? Nope 3. Is there any snu snu? Yes but offscreen You see Isekai and Tensei story is not new genre.. this genre already existed in past. It's not mean the author is lazy. But throwing your character to another world is basic plot to start a story. Now go ahead and disscuss wich tensei or isekai story that deserve their own Movie.. I put "Release That Witch" on my First list.
Nothing really comes to mind.. Guess I'll just say Parallel Paradise. It's because I read that a few minutes ago and for no other reason. Plz beliv.
...as in Jap WN and LN? Because any western books published are probably becoming a movie sooner or later. Currently I don't have much thoughts, but if Arifureta becomes an anime or movie, at least have the decency to fix some issues, like maybe more depth in characters. Tate no Yuusha can become an anime adapt though, at least until the end of the church of the 3 heroes fight. Mushoku will give mixed response, it is nice to see a change and growth in MC, but it lacked the much bloody actions which transcend in most works today. Janitor not Hero is nice, seeing how an everyday man getting fcked in the otherworld and got no OP skills to punch the smug off people and just be the underdog all the way. Re:Monster would be fun, until the whole drug rape part again. I am sad to say most works these days will have a hard time getting a movie adapt unless trimming and alterations are made. If there are CN works to be promoted, I am putting the Human Emperor at front, and perhaps OEM, with a couple more generics ones like AST and MGA at the back, cuz my personal favs are actually inclined to brotherhood and armies. KR will definitely be LMS, Reincarnator, EER, the Gamer(where to find the novel?) and a couple more.
Isekai Shoukan ni Makikomareta Obaachan Who care about dense MC, what we truly need is obaachan spread it's warmth and kindnesses
What about "duke daughter" or http://www.novelupdates.com/series/...-as-a-villainess-with-only-destruction-flags/
Alice, weird western fantasy hollywood movie Somewhat wuxia-inspired martial arts Hollywood movie Oz, a new version of a somewhat old classic, Hollywood Movie John Carter seems maybe themewise like some isekai tensei, with the whole 'world in trouble, needs saviors' but otherwise not that much. So i'll admit they have some similarities, but you shouldn't go and call them isekai tensei live action, because a) most are hollywood made b) they don't really have that many similarities to JP isekai tensei stories c) isekai tensei is one type of story, not everything featuring world travels have to be one of them
movie huh I don't trust hollywood if they want make movie based on JP isekai and tensei~ avatr the last air bander make me....... ugeh but let just asume they make good one............ugeh~ Kuro no Maou
Well all of them could categorize as parallel world story.. Include Isekai. And Johnny Carter has Tensei part in it. If you consider swap bodies is one form of Reincarnation. It was just Idea on How Isekai Tensei Live action movies would look like. In fact Isekai Tensei genre already existed in lot of Japanese story before syosetsu even popular.. Take escaflowne, or Magic Knight Rayearth.
I just read that yesterday, a new update of one chapter, and it's the same artist from Kiwaguro no Brynhildr. Is there a game of it as well?
I don't think John Carter counts though for many reasons. For one thing while isekai stories seem to by default deal with parallel universes, alternate realities, and a multiverse John Carter simply deals with space travel to mars. Spoiler Using an ancient artifact belonging to an alien civilization likely from somewhere else in the galaxy that have been posing as gods and starting wars on both earth and mars for who knows how long. As for my thoughts on isekai novels becoming live action movies.... No I do not think that they should. However if one I like gets one anyways I might check it out. Except if it is an American Hollywood movie. I don't trust that they won't screw it up. Oh and before I go let me just leave this here.
