Why not just a season 2? Edit: I like how she said "onii-sama" right after the title drops. The only thing I got from this trailer is that they should rename the movie to "Onii-Sama: The Movie."

HAHAHA I knew of this, but I can't find a sub version. Guess I'll have to wait till the bluray release before a subbed version ever comes out. Anyone know when bluray/dvd of movie comes out? Because that's how it working for SAO Ordinal Scale, they say hd subbed version will be out by release of bluray/dvd. But seriously, just give me season 2 and more of the english translations of the novel.
At least from the trailer, it definitely does seem to have relations. At least it seems to have parts of Tatsuya and Miyuki's backstory and time during the first Material Burst. It also might be the Sirius parasite arc.

Went to see Onii-sama and all his glory. But I only knew it was showing up in theaters because I was on the lookout for it after the Anime Expo showing.
the timeline of the movie is about 1 year after the last season and is during the vacation after they enrolled in their second year. The plot is original and is not in the novel. Saw the movie premier at AX and i would go re-watch it again since its pretty interesting. But for those who only watch the anime it contains a lot of spoilers only know to those who read the novel
