Recommendations Malay novels, give me strength...

    Reading novels in Malay make me cringe. However, recently there was a debate somewhat regarding the language and I kinda want to know, if there is any significant ones that I might have missed. So here's my requirements:

    1) Novel must be in Malay (Bahasa) language.
    2) If you are going to recommend it, you must have read/finish it. If you only heard it's good or see it has good reviews, don't bother recommending it.
    3) No stupid romance. No, wait. Just, no romance. I've seen the romance novels. They give me goosebumps. You want to recommend it, it better be super good.
    4) No NTR!! Or cheating. Or polygamy. Yes, no [Ombak Rindu] please.
    5) Happy ending.

    If I like your rec, I will pm you for spoilers. Thank you for your recommendations.

    To tell the truth 95% of malay novel is about romance...
    So kinda hard to recommend any to you...
    Better read chinese or korean or Jap LN if looking for other genre

    is it malay ( malaysian language ) or bahasa( Indonesian Language )?
    if you can read indonesian language i can recommend you some.

    Bahasa also covers Malay language. Unfortumately my understanding of Indonesian is a hit lacking, so I feel I'll lack the capacity to truly emphatize with it.

    If u really looking for non-romance one, there is some find novel wrote by Ramli Awang Murshid. Hes write good thriller malay novel. One of it is "Bagaikan Putri" and it has 6 book for it. How should i say it idk how to tell it in english very much about it

    Yes...here's hoping something good will come out.
    Religion, not really but there's always those injected into the novels. Drama? When is it never a drama huhu...so hard to find one that is not.
    I've heard about RAM but I just don't know where to start.

    Not promoting but for me the best Malay novel i read is wrote by RAM. Still I only read till the 6 book onli

    I'm not quite sure regarding Malay novels, it has been long since i read one, around 15 years ago regarding mystery and detective drama. Its hard to find a good novel these days as romance novel literally defines Malay novel today.

    Uuhh, only malay novel? no Indonesian novel?

    If it is indonesian novel, there is so many wuxia there.. I can recommend tons.

    Yes, it's so hard to find ones that are not. They lack creativity.
    It's for me to read, so I ask for Malay.
    Chinese call it wuxia, but I know some of Indonesian novels have the same elements.
    Huh?
    I want to see what others opinion about Malay novels and their preference instead of just one person's.
