Anyone else notice how Empyrean Divine Dream's descendant was only a theory, nobody actually knows if she has a descendant or not. It was just a hypothesis that Mo Eversnow came up with. And yet, immediately after that Lin Ming (or should I say the author) keeps referring to this 'descendant' that we have no knowledge of as a female. Nobody else find that strange? Empyrean Divine Dream is a woman so it would be normal (I guess) for her to accept another female as her disciple, but we're talking about a descendant here, people don't choose the gender of their children. Nonetheless it is automatically assumed that this hypothetical descendant of hers is a female. Hm.
I believe they're using descendant in this sense to refer to her inheritor. It might not be her daughter. It could be a great, great, great, great grandchild. Since she has an all female sect they're assuming that it's a girl. I also wouldn't put it past her to be able to choose the gender of her children.
it was said that her sect only has a few members and all of them are female and descendant here means more like successor then a blood relative
Low-level juniors could change their DNA basically @ the strongest people of the universe that could affect the whole this universe could not chose gender of their children Even we actually already can, it's just not an easy and half-experimental task.
so I've heard, and yet that is not the proper use of the word descendant. A different word would have been a better use.
Now I am sure that this competition is rigged. those with divine dream laws would hold a major advantage over others. seeing that dvine dream is hosting the tourament, and her "decendant" is probably in it.
The past 5 chapter or so have been incredibly boring and predictable. I skimmed through them and still felt bored and that my time was wasted.
Whatever. Her disciple has probably been cultivating in the dreamland forever anyway. So far it seems the only real advantage is that she'll be able to keep cultivating over the 9 months of the prelims.
Well those that understand the laws will improve faster but they don't gain any type of combat advantage
The last chapter is awesome. Can't wait for more.. I know that the competition things are repetitive but no novel is perfect. Sometimes i felt bored of this story but in this moment/arc i am not feeling bored.

So like 3 and a half months more 200 chapters a lot hope mc breaksthrough at least early divine transformation(Cause he can prob fight Divine lords then lel) Cause before this it took him ages to make breakthroughs lol Edit:I mean theres 1050 chapters left and theres still like 5 realms left and im nit counting Half-step ones and hell have to di at least one realm every 200 ch i cant see it otherwise HOPE THIS IS NOT A SPOILER DONT RLY KNOW LEL(TALKING ABOUT HOW MANY REALMS THERE ARE)
So there are currently 4 known cultivation systems, will, soul(divine), essence(energy) and body, which is also known as essence for some reason. 5 if you count laws, but that seems to be the end goal of each of these systems. is soul culitvation going to be the last one? or is also a bloodline system that LM is going to go for as well? considering how that one guy in the slaughter array during the fire trial thing said something about bloodlines being divinded into mortal, emperor, divine and god. although that would be just streghening his bloodline or fusing wth itinstead of it just being a implant. does bloodline count as a system?
