Not really. At least not after reaching Spirit Transformation . It's been a while I since I completed it but I'm sure this novel doesn't suit the criteria.

 

He has his bead which he has used on occasion to hide from impossibly strong foes for upwards of even years and longer if he had the patience, pretty sure it fits the criteria of "world or space in which he can live indefinite amount of time if needs to hide".

It gets good. As soon as it's the selection arc for the heroes vs students he stops having typical 8th grade syndrome. He still act like that but it's toned down a lot imo.

I guess you haven't read ahead from translations. He hardly uses that function after reaching Spirit Formation (or Soul Formation). In fact that ability of hiding is never used...the bead is used for other functions.

at first i thought so too but he's actually pretty wise and calls himself king remind himself of his weakness . Read it the story is really unique and free of the usual xianxia cliché stuff
