Medals for Translation Groups

@Tony thanks for the new update !

I know this isn't "suggestions page" but still gonna write my opinion / suggestion for this update
When I clicked medal , i wanted to see which series user was translating but was disappointed to find that it didn't lead anywhere.
It would be nice if by clicking on that medal you would get moved to "groups" page
Example: Let's say this is medal ------> "Zen translations"

I hope my example was easy to understand ^_^

Translate 5 chapters post it, ask for medal quit translating!

 

Don't we get multiple medals for each group we are in? That would be neat though.

 

The medals should at least be for people who has translated well over 40 or so chapters.

Web Novels have varying character length and page length.

These need to be clear at least for medal giving (otherwise by ranking, Bronze for 10 2-3 page chapters, Silver for 20 or so 4-6 page chapters and Golds for 40+ Chapters with more or less 5-8 pages in length; Legendary for anything above 80+ Chapters with 10-12 pages.)

^ For this you actually look at grand total of pages / chapters.

There's also the quality too, since, well next line.

^ Like this guy said. What's stopping Machinelators from just translating chapters getting a medal, and not tling anymore. While some machine translators on NUF are great, there are those that are still struggling or just outputting a giant mess.

Also i hope the medals appear in the Groups' page (works and etc)

 

This might be a welcome development. New users will be able to find the more reputable/better translations when they start. This will help them to get used to the terms and stuff more quickly.

 

How does this work? I just came back from the abyss of real life and saw this.

The medal is meant as a small appreciation and identification so individuals can represent their groups, not some kind of elitist ranking for tlers.

Also why not mention ranks for TL speed while you're at it?

Eh? I think the way Tony-chan did it is fine, it was just to show appreciation to the translators, it shouldn't be something to distinguish them among themselves... If someone is willing to go that far just for a medal, this person should rethink their goal in life, honestly...

Well its just me expanding on it, but i guess its only @Tony for judge and jury i guess ~_~

 

I nominate DeathBlade, Madame DeathBlade, and Baby DeathBlade. The DeathBlade family should receive first place for the group award. DeathBlade should win first place for the individual award, and Er Gen should have the award for best LN author. Just go ahead and give them all the awards, like all of them.

Yeah have the medals link to the page of the associated group for the sake of convenience that and some groups are elusive even when you do bother to google them . That and the fact i am from the lazy generation where googling something is inconvenient despite the existence of smartphones.

Off topic: Ha today my mum was ranting about people these days who are to lazy to get a flask and make their own coffee instead of going to starbucks regularly which she says should be a once in a whole treat I sorta agree with her but i am just stingy with money so other people can spend their own money on whatever they want for all i care...
