Spoiler: the 1st son (epilogue) Like how the 1st son was spreading a rumor that CR & WH's relationship has worsened and that WH had fed up with CR bc of her jealousy etc, so then Wang's main house tried to send a new concubine for WH. I forgot but I think the 1st son did it as a retaliation bc he heard that WH wanted to send him alone to the capital city. Anyway 1st son especially but all 3 sons had mother complex. (my favourite is the twins though) Also the 1st son really hates it that WH often complained about how he looks. WH lamented that all his 3 sons look too beautiful. WH thought it was bc when CR was pregnant with them, she often look at water (river? lake?), so for the 3rd pregnancy, WH brought CR to mountain sightseeing to produce a martial art-looking-son, guess how it turned out though..... There was also CR often complaining to the 1st son that her and all 3 sons' look were bad (ugly?). So when the 1st son came to the town and was chased all over the town by women, he blamed WH (LOL).

Spoiler: their daughter The daughter was acting very manly, liked to play with wooden sword, training martial art, etc. CR was very worried about her marriage prospect. But the daughter told CR not to worry bc she's aiming to be like CR, to be granted male consort..... Yes, 1st son was especially beautiful, his features were exceeding CR and WH in every aspect. Her fate in past life or in the current story? Spoiler: the fate of CW in the current lifetime In the current story, RM brought her when he was secretly visiting the capital to seek the newly nun CR. After RM remembered the past, he realised that he had wrongly thought CW as a gentle compassionate woman. CW also often whining and crying (the type that he hate), so he begin to act coldly toward her. CW also had become disillusioned with RM. Initially she thought RM as the best spouse candidate with a very high status. But after arriving in capital, she found out there're high status nobles everywhere, and she look down on how RM was covering his face when wandering in the capital. So when RM left the city, she choose to stay. Initially, she stayed with Chen main house in the capital, but after they found out that she was no longer RM's concubine, they chased her out. Then she came to her father and brother (who was also abandoned by the main house due to the scandal). They tried to raise their status back by marrying her to some old fat rich merchant. CW run away, but then she came back and the merchant no longer wanted her. She realised that she was better when she was RM's concubine bc RM provided someone to take care of her and guarding her. So she tried to go to RM by begging travellers in the city gate to take her to RM. Of course no one believe her bc at those moment she wore a very dirty clothes. Later she had to work as a very low rank prostitute, contracted some illness and passed away. Spoiler: CR's main family CR's father and sister in law died on the way to the capital. Her brother was saved by some man, then before the man died, he made the brother promised to take care of the daughter, so the brother married the man's daughter. The new SIL was a gold digger, so CR pretended to be poor when she met with her brother again, causing the new SIL to force the brother to cut ties with CR (so that they wouldn't have to take care of CR).

(the emperor later in the story gave CR a land and allowed her to be able to marry, the land would be inherited by her child after. Then bc WH took CR away right after the emperor announced that, when CR returned after being kidnapped by Murong Ke, the Emperor granted her 10 beautiful male consorts). CR was stunned while WH got angry at CR for telling the daughter those story of her past. Btw, when the daughter first met the 1st son, she wanted to marry him Spoiler: CW's fate in previous lifetime In CW past life, about a year after they married, RM went to a battle and MIA. CW then proceeded to get rid all of RM's concubine, the concubine who taunted CR at chapter 1 was killed especially bad. Then CW slept with a house guard. Few months later, RM got back and after he found out what CW had done, he killed CW. Spoiler: the brother and evil SIL It was what CR also wanted (in fact CR manipulated SIL to cut ties with her), so the brother helplessly cut ties with CR. Later when he knew CR was not poor and had friends of high status, he was glad for CR. But when SIL found out, she tried to get close to CR only to be rejected. SIL tried to force the brother to persuade CR to accept them back but he refused. Later CR said to the brother that she's willing to help him as long as he divorced SIL. SIL was very abusive toward the brother but bc his sense of honour, at first he refused to divorced him. Later bc SIL tried to harm CR (SIL thought that by killing CR, CR's money would be hers), the brother run away to CR's temple with his son, leaving behind a letter of divorce. The sister didn't give up though. When the brother came to the temple, CR was out of the town at that time, so the security was kinda lacking. The sister hired a bunch of guys to take the son back, but the guys were also paid by the vicious princess (who's in love with WH), so they killed the son.
tsk tsk... poor CR~ anyways does CR's brother also kill too? or Only CR's nephew that been killed? and what happen to the SIL afterwards?
WH couldn't stay mad at CR for a long time anyway. Soon after, they met the sons. The twins saw their sister for the first time and congratulating (mocking) WH for being able to achieve his wish of having martial-art-"son". CR's brother's health got bad, CR asked WH to invite some good physician, then they found out that SIL used to secretly feed the brother poison, fortunately the poison was not very deep, so after some time he would be able to recover. Then the SIL got killed by the brother with WH's help (the SIL went hiding and WH's guard tracked and caught her then presented her to the brother). Also then we found out that the nephew was not CR's brother's real son, SIL cheated on him.
lol those twins are so mean to WH . I bet WH always has an headaches because of son's prank. Oh~ the SIL is really evil. Luckily for the brother he survive from the claws of that woman.

After CR just gave birth the daughter at the beginning of the epilogue, the Wang's main house requested for WH's return, and then after they heard about WH's sons, they asked for them instead (since the sons were very talented). WH thought to send them so they could learn to socialised with nobles (and learned about how to handle those scheming nobles), bc before this, they only lived in those secluded mountain away from the nobles. So he sent the three of them. After about 5 years later, WH and CR came to meet them in the capital city. Yes, they're my favourite. They're always pranking WH. Once they pushed WH and incidentally also CR into the mud. When WH slapped the butt of one of them (he only managed to caught one of them) and asked if they regretted it, he answered yes, he was not clever enough, he shouldn't make CR also fall. Then WH said he really regretted given birth to all 3 of them, bastard kids. The son asked did WH really gave birth to them, then the other one (who managed to run away) interjected, said that WH had lied, and taking achievement of others as his own, the one gave birth to them obviously CR not WH. Then when WH scolded the other one, the other one said he pushed WH bc they saw that WH's clothes was very cleanly white and they wanted to dirty it. There was also when they heard that WH wanted to send them away to the capital. They came crying to CR (WH was also in the room). And accused WH of blaming them for not being able to have martial-art son, then they tried to persuade WH, saying not to monopolised CR, that they regretted all the things they had done and started to recount all the pranks they had done to WH, like slipping into CR's bed in the middle of night or staining WH's white clothes with cat's pawn in plum flower patterns. WH's bodyguard who heard all of this admired WH for being able to endure it until now. The last, there's also when empress dowager sent a bunch of girls to WH, they stripped them naked and put them in the bed of the husbands of Wang's women who previously insulted and mocked CR. The others thought that this was WH's work bc previously he got rid of CR's male consorts in the same manner. (no one though that a couple of 6 y o boys could do this)
Wow they seem like fun, I hope they have their own story. I wonder if the translation is close to the ending? I don't want to continue reading it until it's finished. Do the sons get any position in the capital? since WH gave away his position in the family.
@Elv the translation is only 113/208 and all of those spoilers that I wrote about the children was included in the 38 chapters of epilogue. The epilogue itself was discontinued. So far, in the last chapter, the sons were only still educated within the Wang's manor, WH had been back in the capital to work as an official, and CR was invited into palace's banquet.
I was going to read it and wanted to know if the author threw any curve ball in the end but it looks like all is well. Thank you for the spoilers
I read around 100chapters but stop reading in moment because the translation is so slow So i decided to stock up the chapters. But the twin is so adorable....

I don't know if this count as regret or not, but after the incident with CW (where he found out she was cheating on him), he later (as the history suggested) proclaimed himself as a king and took many concubines. But as he grew older, he realised that CR was the only one that truly loved him. The other women only approached him bc of his position, etc. The older RM often remembered CR's last look when she suicided.
