It remind me of One Piece and other shonen manga but this one it has a theme of thief and magic treasures (Combination of One Piece and Magi). What do you guys think of it so far?
Personally, I really enjoy the series. While the MC isn't super unique, they are at the very least interesting. Not exactly a villain, but not really an anti-hero either. Granted, definitely not bad to the bone as well. I'd name them more... chaotic good. I just hope the female lead will get stronger/more useful in the future, and not just become annoying (her current role is that of an amusing, justice-driven straight (wo)man).
With her contribution in chapter 2, I think she is something like an apprentice the MC and I'm pretty sure she will be able to help the MC. I'm wondering how the MC would develop because we can see that he is linked to the witches so its a Magic Thief Vs Corrupted Royalty kind of story.
Since this is shounen.. MC : Happy go lucky? Check Adventurous? Check Descendant of someone powerful? Check Eat a lot? Check Heroine : "What is wrong with this guy" type? Check Busty? Check Meet MC for a brief moment and suddenly decide to follow him for the rest of her life? Check Support character : Hot-blooded guy? Check Try to defeat MC? Check Well, so far it's okay for me. It's more of FT x Magi when I read it.
The art style has a somewhat old feeling to it, remind me the earlier chapter of One Piece and Fairy Tail.
Remind me of gash bell looking at the MC. Still typical shounen for now. By the way, the author was also making ibitsu no amalgam right? Both of them ongoing on Batoto. Did he had two ongoing manga or one of them already finished/axed?
Yeah, that was my first thought its because of his young look and his eyes that remind me of gash bell. I honestly thought it was from the same author as gash bell. As for the the author I'm not too sure about the ongoing manga.
I agree and disagree. The MC seems to be a normal, a bit strange, skilled thief, but still I find his personalty unique, particularly when he changes his eyes from an innocent child to an evil villain whenever the treasure he's looking for is mentioned and will steal it no matter what. I'm also wondering if that female character will a bigger role in the story later on.
Seeing a manga about a thief is so rare. Not to mention how he isn't a pervert. (^_^)b It reminds me of Jing: The Bandit King especially since there is a crow companion.
