Hmm maybe not because of climaxes but there are random moments that I might find really funny which makes me stop reading. It's rare to get a good laugh from novels so gotta enjoy the moment~

I get that a lot. you start feeling attached to the MC and dont want to see anything bad happened to him right . So you stop reading, let the chapters pile up, So you can easily speed through those tragic or harsh situations lmaoo.

That's what I usually do. I open a new tab and search something and come back hours later to continue reading.

Jumpy, nervous, excited, scared, happy, angry, if a good climax doesn't trigger any emotion then it can't be a good climax.

There are two possible scenarios here.
    1. You only read stories that have very simple dull plots, and no exciting points.
    2. You are a sociopath incapable of empathetic reading, so even when there is an exciting part, you still feel nothing.

EDIT: Oops thought you said "no it's just you" thought you were trying to be sassy. Sorry my support comment no longer works.

Short answer, yes. Though it doesn't have to be during a climax.

I blame the lack of understanding in regards to the English knowledge. Don't go and be so sensitive just because of a sentence.

No @paradoxlie. It's not just you.
