Aaaawwwnn... Well, if you don't feel like it, it's fine.

I always try to participate, even if most themes aren't much to my liking, to try new stuff out, it's interesting to write for things that I wouldn't usually write for... Gives a nice feeling.

 

True. But some things I just don't like going into detail in. I mean, I'd joke about ships for like 2 posts. That's fucking it. Like... I don't like using the profile post function for chats for a similar reason.

 

Well, I guess on this kind of situation it's better to just skip it then.

 

Yeah, I don't like meta stuff too much. Like to keep stories simple.

Sounds like a really good idea really. Have ya read mine, the campfire story one? Pure dialogue, couldn't really figure out how to throw in third person narrative in there without it breaking the flow of the conversation too much.

 

@brasca123 This is exactly what I meant when I asked whether the competition stories were actually massive shit posts.

 

Give a review to @Recouer 's story then please, they asked for critique back when they made the story, but I didn't find the time to read their story yet, so I haven't done it! >.<

There were 5 or less meta stories in the individual submissions IIRC... Most stories were either someone telling how they found NU, or someone that didn't get the idea of the contest and made something off-topic.

The meta stories were the best stories of the contest IMO... If you want to wait for a while longer, we'll be releasing the grades for all stories in a few days, as well as a (really small) review of each, you can try judging which ones you want to read after that.

 

It'll probably be interesting if they were to write purely about themselves, as it gives you a clue of what the person is like...
But I totally wouldn't get a story like the one you had last time.

 

There was one meta one that was basically about the writer, though it still referenced to plenty of other stuff.
