My review: Damn awesome stuff! Everyone should copy this manga and learn a thing or two or a hundred from it. Kisses and Licks. ---- But westerners really should stop using the tag 'shoujo ai'. It has a bad connotation involving pedophilia. Shoujo 少女 literally translates into 'small female' or 'little girl'. So shoujo ai literally translates into 'little girl love'. You do not call an adult woman 'shoujo', you call them 'onna' or 'jousei'. 'Shoujo' specifically refers to underaged girls, unlike the American 'girl' which refers to any female that looks 'not old'. In Japan, "Shoujo ai is my favourite" will probably get the police called on you or at least earn you weird looks from people around and people with young children will likely stay away from you. There is no such thing as 'more innocent yuri'. Yuri itself is a more innocent form of 'resubian' (lesbian). Resubian is usually referred to literature with overt sex, yuri is an attempt to make love between girls less about sex and more about romantic feelings. BTW, this is just my statement, concerning how the aggregator sites labelled the manga as 'shoujo ai' when it should be labelled 'yuri'. If anyone wants to argue about this, make a separate thread. Don't derail this thread.
