Recruitment New team, Parallelnovels, recruiting new members

I have recently created the group Parallelnovels and I am looking to grow a decent sized team in the near future. I have started with translating Otherworld Nation Founding Chronicles and our team currently consists of myself and another (who is an editor). We are a very new team and I am looking for translators, editors, etc. and we plan to translate novels for any of these languages: Japanese, Chinese and Korean.

Any of these would work, so if there are any looking to try their hand at translating/editing whether experienced or somewhat experienced, please contact me on our site.

Our long term goal is to build a significant group with a decent library of novels and hopefully to eventually even obtain licenses for novels.

I recommend starting the series from the start and making it your own.

Also remove the "I'm not sure <stuff> but maybe..." And just add a 1,2,3 etc to it or and asterisk and explain at the bottom that it isn't quite up to par or what you want it to be.
Though that's a personal gripe of mine, I don't like TL/ED notes scattered across the chapter.

 

Thanks for the suggestions, although this isn't the thread really to bring that up. However, I will take it into consideration. The translations of the story has already seen huge improvement from the first to fourth chapter I did. I don't think it is necessary to go back to the beginning for now on it though. Maybe in the future, depending.

 

Haha, I always wanted to be a translator, but I realized something... I don't know any language other than English. If you want an editor, contact me hehe xd. (no experience, but I'm fluent in English)

 

i kind of want to make a mt. tai joke know about you don't knowing about the complexity of editing but i don't know a good one

I am looking for people with at least some experience when it comes to editing. For translating, there is some leniency but an editor needs to be somewhat skilled.

You should first increase your site viewership and exposure. Itll be difficult to recrout when people don't know you...

 

Thanks for the suggestion, but it doesn't hurt to try. I can always try again in the future. I have already received a response from two people looking to translate Chinese novels, so that alone is worth it. Hopefully more will be interested.

Just an update, so far there are 6 people on the team as of this post. Myself who will be translating/editing/managing etc. then there are 2 people who are interested in translating Chinese novels have joined, and there are also 2 editors. There is an additional person who is interested in translating Japanese.

So far the novels we are going to be translating are the following:
Otherworld Nation Founding Chronicles (Japanese)
Porter of Two Worlds (Chinese)
Eternal God Emperor (Chinese)
I am also planning to pick up a Korean novel if possible (haven't decided yet)

Will continue to look for anyone else interested over the next week.
