yes. very recently, he finished the whole separation arc and is back with his family again.
On a separate note, do you believe that the true final battle is for him to gain enough power to kill the evil god once and for all? The Slasher seems to be his destined arch nemesis/ evil foil he will one day face, but I think that the true final boss is the extra boss/ evil god.

Well, the slasher is the best option
the evil God, possible but I don't think so (because of power differences)
Unless he become a god himself or the goddess helps him (him becoming as strong as a god will ruin the power balance in the story and it will become a mess)
