    Changing the scale from 1-5 to 1-10 has been suggested a fair amount of times, some people agree, some other disagree, the end result is that it most likely wouldn't make much of a difference, and it's not worth the effort to make the change.
    Translation quality shouldn't be taken into account when rating/reviewing a novel, it's part of the guidelines.
    Genre? That isn't something that should be judged, it's personal taste.
    Speed of the translation also shouldn't be taken into account.
    Again, quality of the translation shouldn't be taken into account.

    Consistency is too vague, it's easy to be misinterpreted.

    Overall and Story are literally the same thing if you're looking at a novel.

    People give a lot more weight to ratings and reviews than you think.

    If a novel is lower than a 3.5 I usually won't try it unless a review really convinces me it is enjoyable despite its shortcomings.
    I read Naruto System in a Different World, yet I'll be the first one to tell you it is a piece of trash yet I still somewhat enjoy it. Started it because of one review despite the low (deserved) rating.

    People often give the ratings and reviews too much influence on their decisions to read.
