    And why are people not reading issth because of the description. The title of the novel attracted me too it, I didn't even need to read the description, too start reading the novel. I Shall Seal the Heavens, can a novel have a better name than that.

    I actually don't have one for novels at the moment. For manga though, tons. To name one, Inuyashiki. I thought that was the father manga I've read before where the dad left the family for a few years before coming back.

    It wasn't actually the description alone that put me off. I tried a chapter and found it slow and boring and the synopsis didn't give me a lot of hope of it picking up. Couple that with the fact that at the time I was still new to the Wuxia/Xianxia scene and I wanted to read something with more action. It also didn't help that there weren't a bunch of chapters translated the first time I tried reading it. ISSTH is good but you don't really get into the real pay off until a ways into the story regardless of whether you are talking about action or humor or anything else.

    Actually now that I think about it I tend to let ISSH gather chapters during off times (no real action and all that).. and then marathon through them and then gobble up at least 50 chapters as they come out then let it accumulate because its slow.

    yea ze tian ji is a good novel, but with the translations being so slow right now and the novel it self pretty slow, it just so hard to read it, I will probably start reading it again when he starts cultivating.

    I tend to a try as long as it has somewhat good ratings. if it has a bunch of 1's and 2's I won't read it. If the translator is not good (either MLT or manual) I drop the series regardless of how good it's supposed to be. Also if the translation speed is really slow, I tend to drop it. Don't particulary care about description unless it's something I can't stand to read.

    I actually did the same this with ISSTH. I had dropped Xian Ni (which I didn't even know was by the same author) and at that time I had a weird vendetta against Deathblade. Some sort of comment he made on spcnet pissed me off. I think he was insulting a translator for some reason.

    But now ISSTH is one of my favorite novels!
