NU´s star reviews rating

Sooo, not to say that NU´s star rating system is bad or anything but why don't we use the same standard as Goodreads? For example, 1 star means "I didn't like it" instead of NU´s "Bad".

They spent a little more time thinking about it ^^

 

NU needs a Bayesian Average, simple as that.

 

NU needs the blobs, that's what we truly need.

 

I like the review sections just fine just read from other people what good about it what bad about it and decide to read it base of that

 

There's a world of difference between being bad and being disliked. A well-written novel may be disliked, but it is not necessarily bad, and the same goes for a poorly-written novel that may happen to be well-liked. A novel may also be disliked due to other circumstances, be it their tags/ genre (or just QI), and giving people the option to only state whether they liked it or not isn't all that helpful, since taste may vary between different groups of readers.
You're just swapping out the system for another that works roughly the same, if only with a slight change in taking opinions into account.

 

if user rate 1 and 5 too much the credibility become low.

 

So... Giving name to the stars...? Makes no difference IMHO. *shrugs*

 

It is about the rating calculation and consideration. Not the review system itself.
Plus, we all know that the "bad" there means "I didn't like it", right?

 

when this grandpa give a novel 1 star it mean this novel is trash

 

we need each rating must write review. that way we can sort the troll and ban them from giving any review

The review need a like and dislike function, something similar to Reddit. The most 'like' review will be on top while the most dislike will be hidden on the bottom

 

You can already like reviews, and you can already sort reviews by the number of likes.

What I mean is the like and dislike will deduct each other, just like Reddit where it use +1 and -1
