And I will try to revive that old thread as long as Practical Guide to Evil keeps updating.

I know I know... I'm at chapter 6 though, so I won't take a look at it, I'll be spoiled...

Well, I'm just not reading much ever since I joined NUF, I used to be fully up to date with my reading list when I was using only NU...

I'm trying to find time for reading, but between working, studying and NUFing, it's getting hard to find the time. *shrugs*

 

So just as a confirmation for me and everyone else who may not remember especially since it is only noted on the main thread.

Our speed for this Book Club is 3 chapters a day?

 

Correct. 20 chapters a week for five weeks. After which, the discussion will continue at the same pace, but we will move on to a different novel.

It said 20 chapters a week. And noone will say otherwise *glares* I report only when appropriate.

 

I'll guess I'll start this one off as I'm newly starting it and just got through Ch 5. Has an interesting initial premise with the whole demons have a deadly sin thing. Though the aggressive/cowardice thing is still rather unexplained. And it rushed into the whole transportation to other world thing way too quickly. The contract seemed way too simplistic for untrusting devils and Palan rushed in way too quickly for his seemingly methodical nature. We will see though.

 

So through chapter 12. I may have read quite a bit farther than this already, but I will approximate my thoughts. The beginning is still kinda weird. He got rushed into a contract very quickly, especially given how distrusting a fellow he is. There definitely have been amusing points and I enjoy Palan's personality thus far. Unfortunately the decision to randomly attack the forest king when there was probably minimal evidence to support it seems a bit forced, particularly that Palan happened to run into them at the exact same time. Ah well. It got the plot kinda rolling.
