NU's Reading List (+Design Your Perfect Reading List)

    Before I start, I have no plans on changing NU's current reading list or how it works. At most, I'll change little things to improve it but the currently reading list will stay as is. I just want to get that out there before I start my thread.

    Anyways, If you were to design the perfect reading list, how would it work and what would you want in it? Please explain your perfect reading list with as much details as possible.

    As for NU's current reading list, it came from this idea (from @kozinc):
    ...and it just expanded to the current reading list that you see today.

    Someone @somsack suggested that we need a feature where you can see the previously ticked chapter. Sometimes, people tend to misclick and lose their current reading chapter.

    I think the current reading list is already close to perfect. Having too many features would probably just make it more cluttered. If anything it'll be small things latest read novel, record of when I read certain chapters (but probably annoying to implement).
    If there's no plan to change the reading list then I'm happy. Thanks.

    Ooo, a reading log is already planned. I have no more to add. All is well with the world.

    I meant if you were to design a totally new reading list, how would you design it?

    I think it's awesome so far! Only thing I would want is to be able to remove series from my reading list without going to my profile.

    A lot of times I accidentally check a series on my phone and that adds it to my reading list. It would be nice to have a fast removal (perhaps on the series home page?) or even removing the check mark removes the series from your reading list.

    Sometimes I'm too lazy to go to my profile page and remove it there.

    But the site works wonderfully so thank you!

    I would like it if I could make different reading lists different highlight colors. For example, if I were to create a reading list named "Dropped", I could make the highlight red while keeping my usual green and blue highlights for my usual reading list.

    Half of the world is idiot, walking after what they can see

    I will like to suggest 4 default reading lists - reading, completed, plan to read and dropped.

    It was possible to remove series from your reading list without going to your profile before but too many people were accidentally removing it so I removed that feature.

    I was thinking of like how sometimes I read some novel and put some aside so the chapter accumulates. Is it possible to have like label/categories so you know what you drop/plan to read/reading, etc.

    Why don't you bring that back put add a prompt so they know what they were doing.

    The concept of default values came after
    1) People became lazy to work
    2) People became incapable of thinking properly - Default values remind them things like that exist, and that is the way u can do it
    3) So that common people can save time
    4) So as to keep engineers busy

    It would be pretty cool if it was set up similar to the profile pages on myanimelist.net
