Discussion One Piece is so violent!

I was watching this AMV...



And after watching it for 4 times... I've cone to realize that One Piece is full of blood wars and a lot of ppls dies!
We can See a lot of Violence in there...Pirates uses violence for the sake of freedom, The navy uses violence for The sake of protection... And The revs use it against The World Gov... Such violence! If Oda didn't want to make a Shounen and instead make a Seinen... We could see some good blood scenes!

What you guy's think about this cicle of violence?
I've forgot to mention... Even at The beginning we see ppl happy when Roger is executed... And ppl at The coliseum demanding execution... Its juts wow...

The world in One Piece is dark af from the start, just the story told from the view of Luffy & co the adventurer like pirates. Pirate, murder, slavery and the so called 'absolute justice' and protection from marine in the end because they got money from tenryubito and used to manage the world under control.

But tbh if Oda draw One Piece in seinen, I don't think it would be as popular since one piece can be enjoyed by all ages (dunno about now after the time skip boob scene frequency increased significantly)

he has one of the highest bounties in the world, and his "crimes" don't include murder. its weird.

 

I like violence... The point here is... One Piece is a Shounen... A manga for kids... And yet we see those kind of things (wich i like very much).
And i do read Berserk for pure violence and gore scenes.

 

One piece, Naruto and Bleach aren't like North American "disneyfied" shows that treat the audience with kid gloves. The stories are actually very mature when you look past the humor.
