    if there are, well, lets share em, and maybe, just maybe, there are gems there, that the native speakers are proficient enuf in eng that will be willing to tl thse gem and share em with w'all?

    for examples, maybe filipino, indo, malay, thai, india based sites? i dunno.. thats why im here asking.. haha:p

    I was wondering the same. But apparently, the thoughts of creating web novels aren't that popular in some of those countries. They don't see web novels as a profitable business, they would rather publish it.

    My company is planning on making a Malay version of syosetu, unfortunately we've only been able to get a few local writers to commit. We can't proceed without enough writers as the initial cost alone is a huge gamble.

    Originally, it was planned to be a site for Malay and Indonesian works, to be a bridge between Malaysian and Indonesian writers. But when we took into account the bullshit spouted by both childish Malaysian and Indonesian children on the net, we figured it would just end up as a major shitstorm with everyone talking shit about the other's country on the comments section and making the authors rage quit. So we scrapped that idea.

    well, them countries are too busy in politics/economics to support litarature/culture booms.. haha..

    its true though, printed are the preferred way in most other countries for the time being..
    maybe in the future, things'll change? who knows..

    the idea seems nice, but the concern there is a heavy enough reason... rage-quitting.. hahaha.

    Thing's will change, yeah definitely. But that would take a very long time. Right now all we can do is to be satisfied with whatever we have.
    RIP good idea due to worthless pride. You should find some people who don't care about their culture like me.

    Well, if anyone wants any Indian novels (gujarati, Hindi and maybe sanskrit only) translated, as long as I can earn something from it and the novel isn't licensed (in English), then I can do it, I suppose...

    Im not sure about the syosetsu kind.. but i think some writer in my country rather prefer to publish. And freelance writer just post it up in a site.. and usually fanfiction only ;-;

    What can you expect from a free site? Mostly, only amateurs write there. However, if you will try to dig deeper, there are still some gems. You'd only need some patience.

    I didn't understand any of the effin muffin mentioned. Search wattpad at google. According to one of the lists of the the best global reading sites I've found, Wattpad comes first. Anyone can write there, you can choose the language, you can promote through visiting other readers' profile, and such...Not sure anymore about the other details since I'm only a reader.

    In English countries or those that use English to write novels, they usually set up their own sites. Unless it is fanfiction, most of those English writers have their own sites.
