I donated 40 bucks towards it because of the 20 chapters and it only counted 36 did someone unfollow just before I did it or is it a difference in currency?

multiple reasons.
The goal only shows it after pateron fees. There might be a currency difference as well and certain fees assotiated with monetary transfers depending on your country.
Or someone could have unfollowed

 

Taxes and patreon fee also takes a bit. Yes, they exist there.

 

Doesn't it only take money once the month is over so it doesn't count to it maybe or just some problem with the website

Well, $2500 a month isn't bad, but given that it's likely his full time job at this point, that's about right. It's skilled labor, and at $30k a year; a respectable salary if you don't have a college degree, but not extreme. Especially since that salary includes absolutely none of the benefits and what have you you'd expect from a similar pay in a business.

Ren's $13k a month though. That's pretty intense. He has a shitton of business expenses not reflected in that on top of the time spent though so still seems reasonable; especially since he's quoted as saying his licensing deals amounted to over six figures of an expense. Just, damn.

Haha, right? Like, it's an independent licensing deal in the most widely spoken language on the planet, so hey, I get it that it's expensive. But jesus christ no wonder every group isn't getting their own license that's insane.
