They tried to do a politically correct show (they thought that Ms Bellum was offensive and removed her). It is lighter in tone and the villains are lame. Also the old show was about superheroines that happened to be little girls with no secret identity, Superman without Clark Kent. It was somewhat epic. The new show is more a slice of life of girls who happen to have superpowers. The old show was deliciously absurd, that was part of its charm. The new one feels idiotic.
I didn't hear about it until years later especially since I originally didn't know what I had been watching all of my life (various shows I thought were cartoons) were actually called anime. I heard about PPGZ maybe 9 or so years ago and found out about anime 7. I just hope they don't remake Dexter's Lavatory or the Billy & Mandy show... I don't want all those good oldies to be come new trash. Don't know if Samurai Jack will be good or bad either way I don't plan on watching it to find out.
I had no idea what this thread was about until I saw "Mojo Jojo" in the second post, and I dropped my french fry.
I'd almost agree with you if it hadn't been for this episode that caught my eye the other day But no, its really not worth watching unless you just have to fill a few minutes and it has to be t.v.
There was a definite upgrade in art style over the years Spoiler: 2016 Spoiler: 2002 http://snafu-comics.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/11/040118_ppg.jpg?bf4af4 But he's been doing about 2 pages a month for the last 14 years, and there's been quite the upgrade from the first bits.
I watched the old one in the past when it aired and recently watched the new one with my younger cousin and it sucked
1000 years from now, people will believe "twerking" videos are actually documentation of a virulent disease causing insanity, poor fashion sense and teen pregnancy.
I never saw the issue with twerking, it's been around for 100's of years. There's only so many ways you can move the body in a rhythmic way and be somewhat attractive, get a culture that likes "dat ass", and you'll find twerk equivalents.
That's what I originally thought two, but the show is actually not that bad, AS LONG AS YOU KEEP IN MIND that Teen Titans Go is not a continuation or a new series, it's a parody sanctioned by the creators of the originals. I watch once in a while with my younger cousin and it's actually pretty funny
Ok, is there any way to keep the people who made the intro, fire the rest, and bring back the original members of the show, Just one seasons worth of "the ppg grow up" would be a perfect cap and block this nonsense from ever happening again. Kind of like how samurai jack must end with him going back to the past, we don't need to see the past or what he does, we just need the closure of jack walking through a swirly portal after saving the future, since we know that if he can beat aku now, he'll beat aku then.
