Profile picture on main site(aka not forum)

So I feel like an idiot because I have been using this site for over a year yet my profile picture when reviewing novels still looks like a question mark. So I come to the forums and add this profile picture, but it doesnt change the profile picture when I am reviewing novels. So what is the secret? What am I missing here?

 

try to clear your cache first.

And if it's still doesn't show your profile pic then it might be a bug

So you are saying that adding a profile picture to my forum profile should had changed my profile picture on the main site, and the fact it didnt means there is something wrong with my browser/computer?

Maybe there is a delay between chosing a pic on the forums and it appearing on the main site though, I don't know.

 

I doubt that it is a delay since I added this profile picture a few months ago, it is only now that I had some free time and decided to question what was going on. In any case at the very least, I know that it is not on a problem that I can easily solve so I should just put it out of mind. Thank you for your replies.

 

It's prolly a bug so just pm or ask Tony to fix it

 

try deleting your forum avatar first. (by ticking the checkbox.) let it return to default. log out from both site. login to forum. re-add the avatar. make sure you upload an already resized avatar (not choosing by url etc, or not chosing large image making the system resized it for you).

 

Thanks, logging out of the main site and back again worked for me. It's probably a case that it syncs only on login.

The other methods don't work btw, I changed probably 10 different images, including 200x200 and 96x96 ones and used all 3 versions of the upload form. The avatar would only change on the forum.
