Where in the quote that you quoted did he specifically say that WW was the forerunner?

He still did not in any way imply that they were the forerunners...
    And I quote:
"Wuxiaworld far outstrips them now and yes, Wuxiaworld set the standard for what sites try to achieve in the Chinese Translation business."
He simply said WW outstrips them now, and are setting the standard for contemporary times.
Ravenbrand might be indicating that WW is now the leading brand, but I did not make a connection between his post and calling WW a forerunner.

Talk so nicely about GravityTales when traffic is dwindling. You really can dream big, Qidian.

In the end, it's either fan translators will be subdued by you from money or from power.

But we will never give you what you want. If we have to be pushed down, we will be sure to grab hold of your legs and have you fallen down too.

You never give good well to the community. Always lies. How do we expect anything from you?

You deserve karma. A smack in the butt, I tell you.

Anyone who thinks GT offers high quality translations should read BTTH where the translator is so lazy that he never bothered to translate cultivation levels. Or Demon Diary where so many liberties have been taken.

"Age of webnovel prosperity for all Chinese webnovel readers and translators"

Somehow, I laughed on this line.
It kinda remind me to evil clan in chinese novels when they tried to propaganda their righteous to the oppressed people.

I wish I can give my upvote to this netizen comment. :D

The irony I find here, is that I was just talking to another forumer about "somebody is going to write a book, and its all based on the dramas that unfolded in NUF". That was a few days ago.

Then today I found out (yeah I know i'm slow) that Qidian did something exactly as what I said, except, its on their perspective. ROFLMAO.

    Re-read what I said.
here you go.. "Wuxiaworld far outstrips them now and yes, Wuxiaworld set the standard for what sites try to achieve in the Chinese Translation business."

No mention of a predecessor at all. The claim was spcnet was bigger back in the day than Wuxia world is now.. not the case.

To many people Wuxiaworld is a forerunner because Wuxiaworld brought the modern(ish) era of Chinese Translation sites (and has been a leader of how things are posted and updated too). In this current time.. Wuxiaworld is the forerunner. The previous one would be places like baka-tsuki and spcnet. (Most people haven't heard of spcnet because it is so obscure and Chinese Translation scene really didn't blow up hardcore until 2014 with the launch of Wuxiaworld which saw, GT pop up.. Shiro, Evolare, Aran and many many others.)

I don't even want to read that entire text wall as I'm certain it's full of bullsh*t. What I'm surprised by is the way they portray themselves and talk about this partnership between Qi Int and Gravity when they're actually owned by the same company...

Exactly why I made the clarification. In this current Era Wuxiaworld is the ancestor type. Since it's really because of the work of Ren and Wuxiaworld that encouraged more people to look at Chinese novels. (Also want to add.. yes, there are other websites that came before that were the leaders and forerunner for Wuxiaworld.. however, Wuxiaworld is a forerunner to many of these sites because Wuxiaworld inspired them to be more like Wuxiaworld.

The way he posted definitely did not indicate so. He directly quoted Ravenbrand.
Why would he direct quote Ravenbrand if the intent of his post was towards Atl92?

Sorry , i meant is when the topic started was @SinsI quoting @Atl92 about forerunner mistaken usage , i think @Suijin was just trying to expand on that.
