As for your question, after the tournament in the Phoenix empire, the Phoenix empire was exposed that their deity, the Phoenix that held the trial grounds for the Phoenix blood and that cultivating method, died. And those sacred grounds, or whatever the translations were, aren't as sacred as they seem. They are just as evil, greedy and etc. To help save themselves and fight against the sacred grounds, the Phoenix empire wanted some mine or something in the blue wind empire, so they waged war to take it over. Something like that, I forgot.
He joined all tournaments and won all of them. Whether he won and participated had nothing to do with the invasion. He is in the peak of the sky rank but he can demonstrate power of a mid level Tyrant.
the war happens because of the reason that Yun Che has Pheonix blood that isnt from the Divine Phoenix Empire. The Divine Pheonix Empire wants to monopolize the Pheonix Blood and they know that Yun Che is from the Blue Wind Empire so the inheritance must be within that empire. Also they are aware that Yun Che has more Pheonix skills than they do so they will do everything they can to get the remaining inheritance.
