Hi guys, normally, I think of myself as having a pretty good understanding of novels I read, no matter how fast I skim through them. Yesterday I started World Defying Dan God and I just arrived at chapter 125. Now I really can't get things about Power Levels together. When Chen Xiangs fiancee Xue Xianxian was taken away by the Master of the Divine Weapon Hall, Su Meiyao and Bai Youyou said that her Power/Cultivation Level was about the same as theirs, which is at the Peak of the Mortal Realm Dimension. Buuuut later they talk like the two of them were immortals, like they roamed through higher, more powerful dimensions and they talked about the entire Mortal Realm Dimension as small and weak, comparing it with the 3 Higher Dimensions and even comparing the Top Level Existences to ants. This already confused me but in the latest chapter it was revealed that Elder Dan, is a Dan Ancestor and almost became a Dan King, while Su Meiyao is barely a Dan Ancestor. And Su Meiyao was even proud of it. But Elder Dan is only at the Peak of the Mortal Realm Dimension (Nirvana Realm). Uuuhm. Can somebody please explain? These 2 Sisters Strength really feel inconsistent for me at the moment and now I don't understand if they are super strong Immortals or just Nirvana Realm Experts, either of which confuses me.
Dan ancestor and Dan king, I thought they were alchemist power levels. Because there is "Dan," in the name. I think that is what she meant.
It feels like the author is still deciding or its a translation error, either way nothing you can do but ignore it.
丹(Dan) means pellet or pill, basically Dan ancestor and Dan king are just alchemists' grades, the grades tells us what grades of pills he can concoct
I am clear about the Dan or Pill Rankings, but confuses me is that Su Meiyao seems to be a very mighty existence coming from the higher realms. And she is proud to be a Dan Ancestor, yet that "ant"-like Elder Dan almost became a Dan King? Seriously? Su Meiyao even said she was praised by her Teacher as a genius because of her talent, yet that weak Elder Dan completely overtook her? Seriously? Additionally, to roam the higher realms one needs a high amount of strength, but the 2 Sister stated that they are only equal to someone of the Nirvana Realm. Really? They even said themselves that Nirvana Realm Experts are only ants in the higher realms yet they are only at his level? What now, are they immortals or ants? Based on Su Meiyao's Level as a Dan Ancestor, she should be a Nirvana Realm Practitioner. But when talking to Chen Xian they talk as if they are superpowerful existences of the Immortal Realm.
Maybe i'm wrong, dunno, but if you look back at the start, they should say their enemy crippled them and left them to die in that place slowly. So now, until he makes some medicine, they're stuck at a weaker level.
I get what you mean, but even though Su Meiyao can't refine Dans with her current weakened Power Level a Dan Ancestor is a Dan Ancestor. She was a Dan Ancestor before she was attacked. Edit: Alright, in chapter 126 it was now said that Su Meiyao and Bai Youyou came from the Mortal Realm World and that Chen Xian only suspects them being from the Higher Worlds. Still, the way they talk about themselves being all powerful, roaming dimensions and having such a high comprehension of the Higher Worlds, although the truths will be revealed in time I really have to say that it feels incredibly inconsistent. Guess it will be revealed somewhen...~
Pretty sure that they said the Elder Dan was a Dan Ancestor but something caused her to lose a level.
Well it was said in one of the few last chapters that Su Meiyao and Bai Youyou might have been stuck in the mortal world for 10,000 years since the last war soo since she was injured it could've been that she couldn't train her dan making and stuff for a long time soo that might be it plus Su Meiyao was probably waay younger that Elder Dan when she became a Dan Ancestor since she was a genius.
