So i was planning to build my own PC. I already found which parts im going to buy. The last thing i need is an OS. I decided myself for Windows. The problem is the prices. When i looked at the Microsoft Website the prices are about 120€ https://www.microsoft.com/de-de/store/d/product/D76QX4BZNWK4/1NT5 But when i looked through Amazon then the prices differ from 20€ to 90€ https://www.amazon.de/gp/aw/s/ref=is_s_ss_sc_0_7?k=windows+10&sprefix=windwos So my question is, is this the same thing? Can i just buy the one on Amazon ( this one for example https://www.amazon.de/gp/aw/d/B010S...windows+10&dpPl=1&dpID=31Gt0h2QqaL&ref=plSrch ) and still have normal working PC? Please if i understood something wrong then feel free to point it out(nicely if possible). I just want to safe as much money as possible. Thanks in advance.
yes these are oem keys and they work just fine you might not be able to transfer the copy if you switch motherboards and you can't get support from Microsoft, as in you can't call a Microsoft tech support
Windows 10 is free though, you can download it at Microsoft official site. Then make your pendrive bootable and put the ISO file in it. Done. https://www.microsoft.com/en-au/software-download/windows10ISO Shit is free
As others mentioned, Windows 10 is free as long as you are fine with the message on the right side. Also some settings are disabled and have to be changed via commandline if you want to change them. kinda like this: You can also buy a Windows 7 key from the grey market for like 20$ https://www.reddit.com/r/microsoftsoftwareswap/
Yes and No, you can download it but you won't have a key and there is a watermark, and I think there are a few other things you can't do with it
If you want windows 10 pro for $20 you can also use this site: https://www.kinguin.net/category/19429/windows-10-professional-oem-key/ The difference between an oem key and an retail one is that with an oem key you won't get support from microsoft But if you're a student you should be able to get windows 10 education for free if so I would recommend you talk to your contact person within the school.
Y Plan My Plan is to actually only be able to use my browser and play something like LoL and games from steam and maybe sometimes write some Text dokuments. Will i be able to do that with this free Windows? I would also like to play some Flash games
Yes, as long as you are fine with the above watermark picture you can do all that. You can get LibreOffice for writing documents/spreadsheets and etc.
