The last translation for Rakuin came out last year. There hasn't been any update for over a month, and its my favourite Japanese novel. It's also completed. I wanted to ask if translations for Rakuin has stopped. Has the series been dropped?
For the record, you might want to check up on who is translating the project itself rather than looking at BT as a whole because Baka-Tsuki themselves don't translate anything and considers themselves as a central hub for people to release their content there.
Volume 8 and 9 are already translated by renuac and he is doing volume 10 now. Volume 7 is inactive though.
Volume 7 isn't inactive but Detalz is really busy. But on the plus side, you're all in for a massive multi-volume release somewhere down the road.
I've already asked him about it and am waiting for the answer. I'll let you know how it goes. But if you think you can get someone to help translate the series, seriously, please feel free to rope them in!
Well, I can create request threads on some sites. However, I don't want to do that if it's currently being translated, as it may violate some written or unwritten protocol.
Well Baka-Tsuki is all about letting people join in, so really, I'd say do whatever you feel is best. Still, translation is ongoing, so don't let it worry you too much.
So a quick heads-up as promised. Detalz is actively working on translating the first three chapters of volume 7 and I'll be finishing the volume from chapter 4 onwards. Which doesn't actually tell anyone when it'll be released, true, but at least you know we're working on it.
