[Rant] Slight thought half-awareness thingy

Oh, why hello there.
Welcome.
I have set up this thread in the 'General chat of randomness!'(kari) for the reason of perhaps gaining some clarity on something that I had experienced when I was trying to fall asleep.

I was on the bed, tucked in and whatnot, when suddenly music started to invade my thoughts.
It wasn't the normal 'remembering a song when falling asleep which then keeps you awake' thing!
As I was trying to focus on one song, even though it was rough enough that the music was sped up, like blocks being put together, another piece joined in then a third and so forth, making me unable to.
Then after about 40 or so pieces of continuous sped up music was playing... *Don*... Almost as though a guillotine had replaced the curtains in a show, something with a hue between purple and blue came down and shocked me, which also shook me. With that, all the music stopped, trying to remember any songs, I couldn't clearly remember any... And most of all... My mind was completely blank for a few seconds after it happened. No music, no buzzing of my constantly active laptop, not even my heartbeat, just pure silence.

Anyone ever experience something like that?

P.S.: In a totally unrelated story, a storm happened later in the early morning hours which woke me up and about 10 minutes after I woke up, a lightning bolt struck nearby causing a deafening reverberation, but that's like the total opposite of my rant, so meh.
P.P.S.: Anyone wonder if I was being invited outside to be struck by lightning?

 

See a psychiatrist... And no, I've never experienced anything like that.

P.S.: If someone invites you outside to get struck by lightning, refuse the invitation by any means.

But I have undergone so many sleep paralysis/night terrors and hypnagogia, though....
