any idea or suggestion on where/how to find/use the userscript? I'm not that knowledgeable myself in these, just the average internet user myself..
Thanks again for the reply n clarification, and if you could suggest, I'll gladly accept, if not, it's OK, I'm grateful enough
    :)

Can someone please teach me how to update my chapter status?
I am only half-way through so I can't click refresh icon 'I've read the latest chapter!' button.
I don't see any checkboxes to mark where I'm at or a pencil icon to edit manually.

Can someone please teach me how to update my current chapter status?
I've already looked at the reading list tutorial but it doesn't work for me.
I don't see checkboxes to mark my current progress or a pencil icon to manually edit my status.

I would provide an example of what I see, but I don't have the 10 posts to allow image/links.

    Thanks in advance!

Go to the Novel's page > Latest Release > find the release you're at by choosing a correct page > Click the corresponding checkbox.

Did you actually enable your reading list?
I don't think there's anything specific you have to do for it to work, except for actually enabling the list.
As for the pencil thing, I'm not sure, but it's probably the manual setting.

If you're talking about directly updating it from the reading list, there is no such thing as checkbox, there is only the manual option, which if I'm not mistaken is activated from List Settings. If you want checkbox, go to the novel's page and go through the chapters...

Is there something specific you need to click to enable reading list?
I've added 30 or so novels to my list already.

Then I suppose it's enabled. So where do you expect to see checkboxes to be more exact? Do you not see them on the main page or on the novel's page?

I've found the manual option.. but seems counter-intuitive. Doesn't show newest chapters and only lets you manually fill in where you are at? I prefer the automatic function (if I can somehow get it to work).

Re: Checkboxes, I don't see anything on the novel's page... All I see is 3 columns: Date, Group, Release.
If it's not too much to ask, could you perhaps post a picture of where to find/what you are supposed to see?

Strange. I can't seem to find any option that would make it like that.

What happens if you're reading a series, you're part way through and want to mark where you've read. Is the only way to do so either by using the manual option, or going to the novel's NU page, find where the chapter is and then check the box next to it?

Seems like there should be a better method of updating your current status, at least if you think about the annoyances involved in looking through the various pages in a long novel in order to find the correct chapter.

Unfortunately, NU doesn't let you update "chapters". It only sees "releases". "c001", ..., "c254", ..., "c1513", etc. are not "chapter numbers" - they are "release names/titles".
Although, changing it the "chapters" would be the proper thing to do, it's gonna take quite a bit of work to make the change, so I wouldn't hold my breath.

Well, actually manual list let's you update "chapters", but it doesn't correspond to "releases" in any way.
Finding a chapter on the novel's page is really not that hard.

I suppose so, but I guess I was simply hoping that there was a more convenient way of updating your reading progress.

    Oh well, thanks anyways.
