I was actually hoping for more screen time with his parents and his collaboration with them for their company but apparently it will not be i really hope that can be shown in later chapters

They did just return so once the dads company takes off then maybe such a scene will occur.

I do it for the nuffies.....haha jk lol. I started doing it cos sometimes when I lose motivation and stop reading a novel, when I come back to it I feel a lil lost. This way I can re-read what happened in my own words and catch up~

 

Chapter 170:

This early in the game that is an unusual problem lol~ don't they have teams that run the dungeons often? Plus there is the auction house. They could get equipment there as well.

 

Chapter 172:

Saw that and I was like whaaaaaaat! I assumed they were tiny things at first lol~

He got 1 point of proficiency for opening the silver chest. He's gna have to get through a lot to rank it up huh. Good thing he knows where do find treasure chests~

 

The moment he got the skill I thought he was going to go back to those places (as well as dungeon instances) he went to once but he chose to go to a level 20 area. I guess he prioritized filling the treasury with level 15-25 stuff rather than acquiring tasty Gold-grade low level stuff.

 

Oh yeah. All them times he found a chest and had to leave them. It would've been good if he went back. But I guess the chances of them being claimed already isn't low. So better to concentrate on the higher level ones.

Does a cheat have to be opened~ it's not possible to remove it unopened right?

 

Remove? Chests seem to be treated as unmovable spawn and despawns if unlocked and the items are taken.

I can't recall which chapter but Nie Yan said keys are commonly acquired on later levels so the previous chests are most probably lockpicked if they're already taken.

 

.... i guess the author does not understand the value of the of the chapter of wisdom ...even if intel does not give the highest boost to a thief it is still helpful...not to mention that free stat every lvl that can be added to any stat is more valuable then high lvl gear when he is gaining them at such a low lvl.
and the author seemed to have forgotten the +15 to jump, speed, reflex, willpower. and resilience are all really helpful to any class even more so to the thief uses speed jump and reflex the most.

but then again after the login stat page even after we are closing in on 200 chapters we have not seen the stat page that tells us where he is putting all them free stats and how his gear is modifying his stats...(maybe author does not even remember his stat page and stats them-self )

 

Chapter 173: got the Chapter of Wisdom there was no mysterious chest nearby lol~ I was hoping for something that would go towards levelling up his lock picking skill. Now to get lock picking from to junior to specialist he has to open 100 chests~ is that a direct jump or is it like for example, every 25 chest opened he ranks up? Like junior, advanced, master, specialist~ or whatever ranks there are~

 

No wonder he prioritized other chests first.

 

Probably a direct jump since he previously had Junior Lockpicking before getting Lockpicking Specialist. Kinda like a requirement to "upgrade" the skill to the new one.

 

The author gives the impression that he's just winging it.

 

So anyone felt like not using the return scroll was really stupid for no reason than to force some action into the chapter? He has loads of money and return scrolls as chump change as is warping to any city that's the closest to his destination.

 

I think what he had was not a standard return scroll but an Unknown Transfer Scroll. Don't think he has many of those. So it makes sense to save them if he can.

 

Seems a little ridiculous that he wouldn't have the normal ones.

 

Where he went should be out of range from the standard returns scrolls abilities. That's why he took the Unknown Transfer Scroll with him. That's what I'm assuming anyways.

 

The chapters of Courage and Freedom both triggered instances that prevented the normal transfer scroll from working, it's possible that happened for the chapter of Wisdom too, but the author didn't bother to show it.

 

the normal city return scrolls take some period of time to activate where you can't be moving. he can't use those or he would have gotten squashed. unknown transfer scrolls are instant.

 

He stated he had enough time to use the regular ones

 

That was referring to the Unknown Scroll. As what was previously mentioned, normal teleports don't work in the exact place where the Chapters are found. He'd have to either:
• Use Unknown Transfer Scroll
• Get back to the cavern and use Return Scroll (20s) which risks him to die from the golem (sleeping state wouldn't matter since the golem would be woken up)
• Rush to the exit

Alas, our MC is a genius so he rushed to the exit instead saving the scroll for another Chapter.
