I think it's funny how Reika said that she would use the time she is doing nothing to study, but her first impulses when she had the chance, was to go talk, or to go to the gym. ... I really love seeing her beating Maihama though, so I have no complaints! \(^^)/

I think most that Reika says is common sense though? It's a different culture, so we don't know about it, but if we were Japanese, I think it would all be somewhat obvious to us.
Kaburagi's mother told Reika recently to tell her if Kaburagi "does something brusque to her". I wonder if she is actually starting to realize that Reika actually isn't interested in Kaburagi? I feel like she wasn't really trying to push Reika towards Kaburagi before. Although this might just because they are in high school now and things need to start happening. Or perhaps she has picked up that Kaburagi is interested in Reika now and wants to help him? I imagine that initially, they thought she was shy or reserved, or perhaps that she was too young for romance? So that could be it too. The best way to get your room clean is to decide to study. To be fair to Kaburagi, he's a kid so he acts like a kid when he is in school. And he is constantly surrounded by fangirls going kyaa kyaa so he can't do anything other than ignore them. I don't know what is bad with how he acts in school these days anyway.
Kaburagi is overall Good. Just that girls are delusional and There is Gap btw the real him and the public image other students make T hemselves kaburagi is the same kind of victim as reika in that aspect

I wonder if the author will make a link between her past life and her current life...? Somehow I don't really want to see that happening though... Hopefully it's just a big coincidence that will embarrass Reika. Hmmmm... It might be possible that Kaburagi's mom noticed that Reika wasn't really interested in Masaya... I have a feeling both Reika's mother and Kaburagi's mother want them to stay together though...
That bit about the cousin look alike made me sad. I don't know why, but any mentions of her past life feel heavy to me. Like when she went looking for her home! Also for someone so misunderstood, Reika has a lot of friends, huh. Good job, Reika!
I think Reika doesn't miss her old life much... I mean, she has been living for 16 (?) years on this one already, there is a limit to how much she can care about the previous life after this long. She was probably feeling more nostalgic than anything.
After this chapter, i am starting to feel that it was Oniisama's actions rather than otosama which drive her family to ruin in the manga timeline... why else would he be so deep in work?

I think the main reason why Kaburagi's mother said that line is she knows her son is bit of a handful. Essentially she's saying "if that idiot does something stupid again, let me know so that I can punish him appropriately". It has been said in previous chapters that she is strong on discipline. Also, if you consider that in the original manga ending, Kaburagi would have married Reika if not for Wakaba's intervention and that the key point for reversing that was convincing Kaburagi's mother then you can infer that she doesn't pamper the guy. When you consider how reluctant the guy is to listen to any requests at all, if he treated his mother the same then there's no way he'd turn up to politely greet a bunch of middle aged women as a reward (for them). With regards to Kaburagi's mother and Reika, we can only guess really. We don't get a good idea of how she treats similar girls, though it seems that she favours Reika over Maihama. I don't know if Kaburagi's mother would "ship" Reika with her son against her will. Reika is doing her best to decline any invitations while also not trying to give offence so overall she is probably considered shy, demure, modest etc (lolol). I think the difference between how Reika responds to invitations and how other girls respond would be quite stark, which should be obvious to Kaburagi's mother but how she interprets that is hard to say. I'm sure that would be a factor. Reika doesn't socialise much (ie go to high society parties) but is known to get along well with her family. I don't know how many rumours from school leak out into society in general but I suspect that Reika is considered shy etc. Some might suspect that her family are over-protective too. I'm not sure if she would be considered "too young for romance" because arranged marriages would be common. If we just consider the language he typically uses at school, you wouldn't think he was from a prestigious family. Most of the time he speaks like generic jerk, to be honest. Going by what Reika sees at least. Enjou is much more polite. I agree that part of the problem is all the girls swarming around him makes him irritable - when the situation is more relaxed his language is better.

Wow, that was pretty insightful. I think I agree too. We only ever get bits and pieces of how exactly everyone perceives her so a lot of it is picking at details and inferring, isn't it.
The irony is, the only reason that Kaburagi and Enjou interact with Reika is because, in her effort to keep away from them, she did not treat them like every other girl does. And that is why they interact with her so much. The smart think would be for Reika to act all squee about them, but just go nowhere. That way they'd totally ignore her.
