Release filter by origin

Hey, so I use the main release page to check out new novels (see which ones catch my attention), but Japanese novels are taking quite a lot of space and, since the title and the chapter are quite far from each other, it also makes me take longer to check them.
Since I don't read any japanese novel, is there any way to just hide them? I think someone made a tampermonkey script before, but I can't figure out how to link two words on the NUF search (hide and jp, it searches both but not together, so it's not really useful), so if anyone knows how to, it would be of great help.

Jp are hardly translated though, NU more about CNs and somehow KR rising these days

 

Well you could make a jp novel favorite list and hit hide from updates

 

Might die before that :/, plus there are new novels too.
I know they're few, but it's enough to bother me when searching for new novels.

 

Go to release filtering and filter out yuri, gender blender, slice of life , etc ( common JP novel tags) and BAM ; a good portion of the JP novels are gone.

 

Wah wah I can't tell the difference between jp names and anything else boo hoo.

 

My main release page is flooded with CN instead.

That would be a nice idea, but even japanese tags (yandere) are used on chinese novels. Yeah, I know everyone gets that so not really a problem, but it makes it hard to use tags as exclusion. And since there are only a few genres, even filtering slice of life would hide several novels I'm currently reading.

 

Just make another list then put the Japanese one's there then make the other novels your favorite then only those will show up in your main page like I done to mine

 

You can just remove slice of life and most JP novels are gone

 

Go to Profile > Settings > Enable Origin Tagging (Color, Release Page). It will not hide JP novels, but will put a JP/CN/KR indicator before the title.

 

This has already been suggested before, Tony declined the suggestion because he prefers it if people are open to new things.

Your best bet is to add any novel you don't like to a new reading list and tag that list to "Hide releases from the Main Page".

It might sound like a lot of work, but it is not that much, do it for about a week and your main page should be filled with only releases that you care about, with at most 1 or 2 that you don't. Then you just add those new ones to your "hidden" list and you're done.

I'm talking from personal experience here, since I do just that.

 

that is what series finder is for... check the boxes that you want and filter through it. you can sort by recently released

 

I want to know if there is a way to filter releases based on origin like I only want chinese novels releases on main page. Is there a way to do so?
If not, I want to request this feature in next update.

If I remember tony wanted people to have an open mind for new stuff and different novels so he said he won't implement it.

 

There was just another post like this an hour ago. Look for it cause the OP had ideas about doing it externally.
