The chapter gap has finally been closed! For those of you who don't know, Renegade Immortal (Xian Ni) is a Xianxia novel written by Er Gen prior to I Shall Seal the Heavens. It's fairly similar to ISSTH, except darker / more tragic. http://www.novelupdates.com/series/xian-ni/ This novel was originally translated by a MTL group up to chapter 179, but they quit partially due to the difficulty. Many readers say the MTL became increasingly confusing as it went on (which is understandable since Er Gen novels tend to be complex - using lots of daoist/fantasy terms and subtle plot devices which are introduced early and then affect the story 100+ chapters later). FivestarSpecialists picked up the novel afterward and decided to retranslate from the beginning. But out of consideration for the old readers, they also decided to translate new chapters (from where the MTL group left off) at the same time. The retranslated early chapters (1+) were posted on Wuxiaworld, while the later chapters (180+) were posted on their blog. This was nice of them, but it also caused problems for new readers. New readers would read the early chapters on Wuxiaworld and then suddenly hit a gap, with only the old MTL'ed chapters in between. But finally, Renegade Immortal has been fully retranslated. The gap has been bridged! FivestarSpecialists are in the process of moving all the chapters over to Wuxiaworld, and said it would be done tonight. UPDATE: All the chapters (1-324) have been moved over!

Great, thanks for telling us. Been waiting for the catch up to retry the series; translation issues and being new to xianxia as a whole at the time made the original translation borderline incomprehensible.

Like I said in the OP, only the early (retranslated) chapters were being posted to Wuxiaworld. The later chapters were being posted on the translator's blog. With this announcement, the chapter gap has been closed, and chapters 180-324 were just now added to Wuxiaworld.
I see so that's the reason, no wonder I never saw XN again being updated in WW, I even thought that the translation is on break or something.
