    I just want to ask WW and CD readers what they think about Supreme Overlord Ren's new novel. I, for one, love it. If you can't tell, you must have the passive skill for most JP MC: Dense Head

    Wow I didn't notice the announcement. But have to say pretty happy that the pace for DE will be picking in a few weeks

    I was also hoping for something new. I dropped DE near the end of v6. I think it had some good potential but the arc on the mountain in that formation or whatever it was, was really boring. I think it has a good chance to get much better after that though, so I'll probably wait for more updates before at least trying to pick it up again.

    I normally stack the chapters for DE otherwise it's kinda hard to find the drive to read it

    DE has an extremely slow pace at the beginning. In reality, all the arc in the Ji clan - even the battle for the mine - is part of a giant prologue. It's when he depart from the Ji territory and go to Stillwater City (wish is at vol7) that we can consider he begin his real introduction to the world of "Desolate Era".

    I think it has big potential.

    In xianxia I prefer the comprehension cultivation route, so I quite like DE.

    I stopped reading this at Book 5 Chapter 9 - Warmth. I just can't forget that chapter. It really gave me the feels but then,
    I read some people's comments saying that things keep getting worse and bleak for Ji Ning in DE, so I just couldn't get the courage to keep reading more of this. Following a story that makes me sad and unhappy every day, not my cup.
    I'll binge read it when the last chapter is translated maybe... if it's an happy ending. I'm not ready for a feels rollercoaster mixed in with countless cliffhangers, and even less if the ending isn't satisfying.

    Anyone knows if this ends well?

    This is the only series I've been reading along with ISSTH and LMS; so I'm definitely cool with the change. I also like Ren's translation.

    I hated that arc too because you can see how IET elongated the plot with all the super power characters coming over.

    I wouldn't say happy ends happen but no extremely sad stuff either. Just some character building which is worlds apart form other IET works in my opinion

    Are every "sad" issues that happened through the novel "solved" by the end? Or do we have a bitter ending like, "well, he's now God-level but he's lonely because every f* acquaintance he had died or was tortured to death so fat chance"?
