Why? I came into this movie with hideously low expectations. The thing is though, I was expected it to be cheesy, angsty and poorly thought out. But it wasn't, I liked the characters, the problems they faced were grounded, relatable, and in Black ranger's case, too real. And did well as an origin or set ups for sequels But there was none of the things you expect in a power rangers movie. The action scenes were well done but too few and too short, and I wanted more martial arts rather than rock monster that explode on hit. The zords were cool and how they were used. But the megazord was a shitty rip off the ones from pacific rim and goldar look like cheese. It's an good movie. But all the emphasis was in the wrong place for a power rangers movie. I'll happily watch a sequel if they redesign the megazord and put in all the over the top weapons and combined energy attacks
interesting, just looked at the megazord from the movie and haha, strangely i thought it was a transformer that looked too much like Optimus Prime...
Lol don't expect the fake explosions. When i saw it's trailer, i thought it gonna be something like transformers, But The name ruined everything.
Uhmm. Realistic levels. Dealing with terminally ill parent, one has mild autism, etc etc. Nothing stupid like Twilight or maze runner or that shit
just the little i saw in the commercial was enough to turn me off. just seein that Goldar's name was bein used, and what i saw of the initial summoning was enough for me to just give it a big nope. i have zero hope for any of hollywood's reboots, much less something like this. shoulda just done a new Turbo, left the basic lore they've already established alone, and called 'em some other sort of rangers. i could see people tricking out their cars to turn to into giant robots, if they were capable. (granted, transformers already drove part of that concept into the ground.) or they could have just made it a proper prequel and left it at that, ending with the summoning of "teenagers with attitude".
I haven't watched it yet but since everyone's expectations were low....no one was disappointed...the reviews ain't that bad either
No romance. Well not really. Just hints of it. Probably gonna be a romance once green ranger shows up in the sequels
Well its the type of series that ends with Spoiler the main characters realizing they're in a TV show and doing everything they possibly can to keep the series going, in order to keep existing. To do this they try their best to lose to the final boss, despite them making it impossible for them to do so by tripping an incredible number of death flags, like telling them how he's going home to marry his fiance after the battle. Sanity's very quietly shuffled out the back and shot early on.
